Ok, I have:

[triple [email protected]][dual shot][distracting [email protected]][drunken [email protected]][kindle [email protected]][conjure [email protected]][resurrection signet] Elite, explained below.

The problems I face:

4 attribute points spread, how much goes where for damage?

I can get any elite I want. I'm thinking [[echo] for triple shot, more damage spam. [[Prepared shot], energy to maintain damage increase spells. [[oath shot], like echo, it helps maintain damage increase spells up. Signet can also be replaced with anything if there is a combo. Or, should I go [[ursan blessing]?

i would use glass arrows as an elite skill and replace kindle arrows , that way you will have only 3 attributes and a damaging elite
as for the optional skill slot , take air of supperiority , its really usefull since in pve , everything around you should be dying .... ( normally )

Replace Kindle with Glass Arrows, and add "I am the Strongest!", then take out Drunken Master for Asuran Scan.

u could not use[conjure flame] and let your heroes use [barbs],[mark of pain],[splinter weapon],if u are using a necro hero support in your team,also [read the wind],[glass arrows] are better than[kindle arrows],that also means u only need to spec into marksmanship and expertise.

Conjures means no [Barbs], [Order of Pain], or [Mark of Pain], and I like those. I tried [Glass Arrows] with the above, but energy disappeared.

edit: If you have a reliable source of cracked armor, [Body Shot] could go in that bar with [Glass Arrows].

Thanks, this is really helpful, I'm thinking about either [glass arrows] or [prepared shot] I tried this in Isle of Nameless.

Glass Arrows: Insane bonus damage, using interrupts, maintain glass arrows and conjure flame, energy runs out fast.

Prepared Shot: Easy free energy while allows easy interrupts and spam damage skills. Lacking the huge damage.

Which one?

The second one is more in line with the purpose of the Ranger (in my opinion). Long term support. Rangers aren't all about super hueg (typo intended) damage.

The only good reason to take [skill]conjure flame[/skill] is if you have that element in a weapon. [skill]apply poison[/skill] beats kindle for length of degen and length of upkeep, which negates the 10 e. I agree that, as a ranger, you are disrupting and spreading conditions, making stuff easier to kill. If you want a little spike, bring [skill]sloth hunter's shot[/skill] or [skill]hunter's shot[/skill]. Either can help finish off that pesky AI guy hanging on to 25 HP for half a minute.

It's really not that useful in the bar I posted. Your foe is usually dead before you can hit with [[Body Shot]. [["Finish Him!"] also takes too long to recharge, it costs too much, and the bar I posted has 3 PvE skills already. If you mean in general, then sure, it's a good skill to kill things.

Vampiric bowstring (or zealous if you're having energy management issues)

No need to worry about bowstrings or attribute spreading anymore. Your damage enhancers also cannot be removed and are not susceptible to mobs' inconveniently high elemental armor. MoD's death in 3 secs. I use a similar build in RA if I'm bored. Any unprotted squishy goes down fast.

Hmm.
What I'm running on my ranger at the moment generally runs something like this:

[build prof=R marksmanship=12+1+2 expertise=12+1][triple shot (luxon)][Hunter's Shot][Sundering Attack (PvE)][No Skill][No skill][I am the Strongest][Glass Arrows][No skill][/build] - Far from optimised, but it works.

[Asuran Scan] is nice to fill in one of the gaps.
[Savage Shot] and/or [Distracting Shot] is good. I'd take Savage over DShot though, because the +20 sec recharge is of minimal value when you spike a target to death.

I try to take an IAS in the last slot, if you do, [Save Yourselves (luxon)] can work

Other quick attacking skills can work for those two slots. I'd like to use [Keen Arrow], but it has the standard attack time. [Dual Shot] can work, but doesn't really have the power of the others.

I typically run this with a necro with [Order of the Vampire].
[Order of Pain] and [Dark Fury] can work too, but the sac is heavy for a hero.

That is what i am running on my ranger. Last skill is usually [antidote signet] or [mending touch] or [rebirth] and sometimes i go with 16 expertise.

You can do over 150 dmg with almost every arrow; under 100 dmg only if the target has a very high armor.

I run the following build ...

This build is quite energy intensive, especially when you spam Asuran Scan a lot. Just use a zealous bowstring and you won't have any energy issues.

Marksmanship: 13
